In a surprising collaboration that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the formal release, "A strange encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes echo through the shadows." The narrative features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.

The adventure focuses on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Material

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
