Netflix Selects Ideal Actor for Mr. 2 in One Piece Third Season
The Secret Organization is geared up to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t unfold until season 3, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.
Netflix announced recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Mr. 2. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve made contact with with their right hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that role re-envisioned as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the live-action show, differing from the original manga and animated series.
This performer joins a number of recently announced actors who will portray Baroque Works to reality, including head the main antagonist, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who will appear as the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Even though the role is a important part of the organization, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Given season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this marks a significant shift in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal additional alterations to the narrative framework.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the role. Along with their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is set to return for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
